The Accredited Medical Institutions Issuing Medical Certificate in Nigeria

The seafarers Medical Certificate of fitness is one of the basic certification and documentation needed to board a vessel.

The medical Certificate is obtained only from the NIMASA accredited Medical Institutions in Nigeria.

Furthermore, The integrity of an eligibly selected sailor’s health has to be ascertained before he/she goes onboard a vessel.

This makes the Medical Certificate a basic requirement for a career at sea.

Also, The Medical examination brings to light all health data of a candidate such as Genotype, Blood Group, Quality of Heart Beat and so on. These data are printed legibly on the Medical Certificate before issuing it.

The cost for the Medical Certificate of Fitness is N25,000.

Although, it is observed that some medical institution provides the Medical Certificate at higher prices with reasons best known to them.
