Containers stacked on the stern of container ship “UNI FLORIDA” has reportedly collapsed at Jebel Ali, UAE.
This occured on the 30th of July 2020.The container collapse occured while the vessel was underway and not in the port.
It was reported that some containers were damaged. some others were believed to have fallen overboard (unconfirmed).

The vessel is currently at port Jebel Ali, AE after a voyage of 8 days, 5 hours originating from port KING ABDULLAH, SA.
UNI FLORIDA (IMO: 9308039) is a Container Ship that was built in 2007 (13 years ago) and is sailing under the flag of Panama.It’s carrying capacity is 3451 TEU. Her length overall (LOA) is 238.87 meters and her width is 32.2 meters.
UNI FLORIDA arrived at Jebel Ali on Jul 27 from Saudi Arabia, and as of evening Jul 31, remained moored at Jebel Ali.
This is the second time a container collapse accident is occuring onboard Uni Florida. The first being on the 22nd of June, 2007.
She was sailing under the maiden name ITAL FLORIDA as at then.
